Londra Palace
Riva degli schiavoni, Venice, Italy
Located on Riva degli Schiavoni, the hotel is within easy reach of St. Mark's Square, the Bridge of Sighs and the main landmarks of Venice. The authentic and secret places of the Serenissima are also just a few steps away.
The name of the Londra Palace Hotel has its origins in the 1970s. Originally there were two separate hotels: the Hotel d'Angleterre & Pension created in 1853, later called Hotel de Londres, and the Beau Rivage built in 1865. These two buildings were combined in 1900. The older building was raised in the 1950s.
Renovations made in the early 2000s and recent improvements to the spaces have given the hotel its current appearance.
For more than 140 years, Londra Palace has been a meeting place for artists, travelers and tourists who love authentic places. With its hundred windows overlooking the Basin of St. Mark's Square, Londra Palace is undoubtedly the place for lovers of timeless places.

SIGNATURE SUITES
The Londra Palace is included in the guide to Italy's Historic Places and counts among its most illustrious guests
(these are the main ones):
The Russian composer PIOTR IL'IC TCHAIKOVSKY, who in December 1877 composed in room 106, the first three movements of the Symphony N.4, originally entitled "Do Leoni"
The French writer JULES VERNE: a recent and happy discovery, revealed last summer certifies that the writer stayed at the London Palace (then Hotel d'Angleterre) between July 11 and 13, 1884, meeting with the Archduke Louis Salvator of Austria. La Gazzetta di Venezia of July 12, 1884 writes:
"The famous French novelist Mr. Giulio Verne has arrived with his family and is staying at the Hotel d'Angleterre. He is preparing a new scientific novel, which is for theater in the Mediterranean. That's why he makes a long pilgrimage in his small yacht to the coasts of Sicily and southern Italy".
The Argentine writer and poet JORGE LUIS BORGES, for whom a curious anecdote can be told. In the last years of his life, he was in Venice in winter, on a conference on the island of San Giorgio (in front of the Londra Palace) with his secretary, Marìa Kodama, who became, after a few weeks of death, his second wife. Mrs. Kodama, always a faithful guest of the hotel, had casually chosen the Londra Palace to stay at. Returning home, Borges had a laundry bag with the name of the hotel and his sister recognized the name of where they had gone on vacation as a young man with their parents.
