Monaci delle Terre Nere was Guido Coffa's dream project, where to date he has crafted an Estate of natural beauty on a majestic location, using bio-architecture and sustainability for the restoration of its Villa & Suites with an utmost respect for both, the tradition and the environment.
Monaci, is a serene place filled with Sicilian scents and colors spread out on a 62-acre estate with an organic farm and terraced vineyards. The Estate is located at the foot of the largest volcano in Europe, bordered by Etna's National Park at 500mts altitude on the east coast of Sicily and the beautiful province of Catania.
The property is dedicated to anyone who is looking for an exceptional experience, is the perfect place to discover Etna s wines from the Estate and beyond, as well as deliciously authentic food, cooked with ingredients that are grown onsite.

All Rooms, Suites and Villas are scattered around the estate with only one located in the main house and all others from 150m up to 800m away. L’Orto dei Monaci
A 180 square meter multi-functional glass-walled light-adapted room surrounded by olive and orange trees is available for private dinners, meetings or any private activity such as yoga classes, book presentations, an exhibition... The room can even be divided into 3 smaller rooms to accommodate smaller events. Outside, a garden terrace allows for private cocktail parties or dinners, as well as musical entertainment with a breathtaking view of the Mediterranean Sea.
The Palmento
An authentic and well preserved old millstone for private dinners, wine tastings and exclusive meetings up to 30 people (theatre style) or board meetings up to 12 people.
Convivium Bar
The iconic Bar area hosted in the former Cave of the Manor House can be privatized for special events, dinners, wedding parties or meetings up to 60 people (theatre style)
Locanda Nerello
The fine dining Monaci’s Restaurant is located on the first floor of the main building and consists of 4 rooms that can be privatised for a lunch meeting or a private dinner.
