The Consorzio Turistico Valchiavenna (Valchiavenna Tourist Board), part of the wider network of Lombardy's tourist board, was created ex novo in 2003 to promote and enhance the rich cultural, artistic, natural and cultural heritage of this valley of the Italian Alps.
Its opening, with access for tourists 7 days a week, called for a coordinated effort from regional, provincial and local institutions, as well as an important agreement between the private and public actors of the territory. It represents the success of a teamwork based on the desire to excel and the sense of belonging of mountain peoples, beyond individual interests.
Laura, had the pleasure to take part in this important project since the beginning.
She was involved in all the exchanges between regional, provincial and local public institutions for the financing, development and implementation of the project and she contributed to design as a whole. She led the negotiations and managed the agreements and the enrollment of the different public and private actors of the territory.
On the operational side, she supported the research of the adapted premises and coordinated the various actors on the works of internal architecture; she also recruited and trained the teams.
On the strategy side, she planned the commercial development of the project as well as the marketing positioning and took part in the official launch.
